AI Recaps Privacy Policy
Who we are
AI Recaps is operated by XenneX LLC, an independent software studio in New Orleans, Louisiana. Our website is xennex.app; the AI Recaps product lives at airecaps.com.
What we collect
- Account data — email address and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in.
- Subscription data — Stripe processes your payment; we receive a customer ID and subscription status. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
- Usage data — videos you summarize, transcripts requested, chat messages with the AI Chat feature, and email-digest preferences.
- Device data — basic device and platform information used to deliver the iOS, Android, and web experiences.
How we use it
We use the data above to deliver the core AI Recaps features: generating video summaries (via large language models), running fallback audio transcription through Groq Whisper, sending scheduled email digests, powering the AI Chat feature, and processing subscription billing.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing.
- AWS — hosting (ECS Fargate, RDS, S3, CloudFront).
- Groq — Whisper-based audio transcription when YouTube transcripts are unavailable.
- LLM providers — the model used to generate summaries and chat responses.
- Email delivery provider — for sending digests.
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
How long we keep it
Account and subscription data are retained while your account is active. Generated summaries, transcripts, and chat history are retained while your subscription is active or until you delete them. Logs are retained for up to 90 days for operational purposes.
Your rights
You can export or delete your AI Recaps data at any time by emailing buddy@xennex.app or using the in-app account controls.
